The trumpet section of the Maxwell Hall Jazz Band is the blazing heart of our big band sound—bold, brilliant, and steeped in the legacy of jazz legends. Trombone Section
The trombone section in the Maxwell Hall Jazz Band is absolutely phenomenal! With three tenor trombones and one bass trombone, they deliver a deep, rich sound that beautifully complements the trumpets. Plus, it’s fascinating to note that some orchestras, like the legendary Stan Kenton orchestra, even feature two bass trombones with a talented player doubling on tuba. How exciting is that?
