ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Maxwell Director Mike Moscoso believes that Music can teach us how to learn about and to enjoy life! He received his Bachelor of Music Education from Florida State University Tallahassee, Florida. and pursued his Graduate work in Trombone Performance with Dr. Royce Lumpkin at the University of North Texas in Denton Texas. Mike’s vast Performance Experience includes membership in the Florida State University Wind Ensemble under director Carl Bjerregaard and James Croft, the FSU Jazz Ensemble under director William Kennedy, the UNT Wind Ensemble under director Robert A. Winslow, the UNT Two O’clock Lab Band under director Jim Riggs, and the Dallas Cowboy Band under director Bill Lively. Mike served Maxwell Hall Jazz Band as Lead Trombonist and section leader before taking up the mantel as director in 2019 as Director of the Ensemble. Mikes Teaching Experience includes work for the Olney ISD Bands - 1987-1994, Burleson High School - 1994-2019. Retired from Public Education Mike is teaching privately and is highly sought after to teach master classes, clinic bands and adjudicate solo and ensemble contests.
Mike and his lovely wife Jennifer believe that family is important and they enjoy the company of their wonderful nine children and 10 grandchildren
